About Cor Studio Macon

Cor Studio was founded in 2005 with the mission of bringing quality Pilates instruction to the middle Georgia area. We have continued to provide a safe environment where our clients can grow and discover strengths they didn't know they had. Our casual and intimate atmosphere provides a safe space where you can feel confident learning new movement skills, discover how Pilates can have a positive impact on your overall wellness, and most of all, have fun. All classes and programs focus on functional movement training that emphasize posture, alignment and breath – we set the standard for quality Pilates instruction in Macon.


​Our Pilates sessions, along with our other movement techniques, focus on developing body awareness to help you recognize and maintain healthy posture both at rest and during movement. We emphasize balanced core strength, flexibility for greater ease of movement, natural and cleansing breathing patterns, and the release of physical tension and habitual holding patterns that may contribute to discomfort. This approach supports efficient, graceful movement and promotes overall well-being.


You will have increased energy, flexibility, mobility and stability. Pilates can help reduce the risk of an injury, minimize aches and pains, and recover from any sort of injury or surgery you may encounter.  Starting from the feet up, a well-structured and consistent Pilates practice will result in a stronger core, better balance, and a more aligned body as intended by nature so that you can live your life feeling your best!

 

Whether you wish to sculpt and sweat in a Booty Barre or Jumpboard class, or if you prefer to strengthen and balance your body on the reformer or the mat, we are your studio!

How To Get Started

 

We have several options for our clients to get started at Cor Studio. Our goal is always to keep our clients safe and to ensure that each client is able to reach their goals.

 

 

Non-Equipment Classes - Pilates Mat, Barre, Yoga, Movement is Medicine

A great option to become familiar with the studio and start your Pilates journey. No previous experience is required, you can sign up on the MindBody App! You don't need to bring anything, we have everything you need!

 

Equipment Classes - Reformer, Wall, Jumpboard, Chair, Fuse Ladder

We require either previous Pilates Equipment experience or 3 Private Sessions to join any equipment class. These classes involve apparatus, terminology and movements that can be challenging in a class setting if you have no previous experience, and we strive to keep our clients safe and classes moving at a steady pace. Call or text to set up your 3 Private Sessions.

 

Private Training

If you prefer to have a session that is completely catered to you, we do offer private sessions as well as semi-private sessions if you would like to have a friend join! Call or text to schedule!

FAQ

  • Who can do Pilates? Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You do not have to be "in shape" to start Pilates, Pilates meets you where you are. Men, Women, Teens, Seniors, beginners and athletes! Recovering from a surgery or injury? You can join us as soon as your doctor or therapist has cleared you!
  • What are the benefits of Pilates? Pilates can improve strength, mobility, flexibility, stability, posture and breathing. It can relieve pain, stress, help prevent injuries and balance the body.
  • How often should I do Pilates? 2-3 times per week is ideal, but if you can only make it in 1 time per week, it is worth it! Consistency is key!
  • What should I wear to Pilates? Comfortable, form fitting exercise clothes are best. Keep in mind that zippers and other hardware on your clothing may cause you discomfort and damage the upholstery of the Pilates equipment.
  • Sessions are 50 minutes unless otherwise stated.
  • We ask that if you need to cancel a session, you do so at least 12 hours in advance. Our equipment is limited and is reserved specifically for you. We understand that emergencies do happen, however late charges will be assessed at the discretion of the instructor if canceled less than 12 hours in advance. We appreciate you being respectful of our instructors time.
  • Upon arrival, please wait in the lobby area. Your instructor will come get you when the equipment is set up and ready to go for you!
  • Please be courteous of others in the studio and silence all phones and watches, and be mindful of your volume.
